The PR-INBRE Annual Retreat and External Advisory Committee Meeting brought together researchers, faculty, and students from across Puerto Rico – INBRE Institutions for a dynamic exchange of ideas and innovation. Over three days, participants shared cutting-edge research, explored advancements in biomedical science, and strengthened collaborations that support the growth of scientific discovery and education on the island.

This session was focused on diverse biomedical research projects, showcasing innovative studies in cancer, drug development, tissue engineering, and advanced detection technologies. Students delivered brief, high-impact presentations summarizing their research in areas such as microbiota restoration, toxicology, natural products, and cancer therapeutics. These rapid talks showcased emerging talent and the next generation of scientists.

Guest Speakers



Guest speakers presented on advancing treatments for cystic fibrosis, cancer genomics and electrochemical biosensing technologies, followed by interactive discussions to deepen scientific exchange.
