INBRE Research Associates trained by PIs of INBRE developmental projects should receive support for reagents and supplies from their PIs. Other non-INBRE research students at PUIs, who are not directly supported by an INBRE developmental project PI, may submit proposals to request funds for reagents or laboratory supplies needed to complete one or more specific aims of their project.
Undergraduates may receive up to $1,000 per proposal and graduate students up to $2,000 per proposal, with proper justification.
Criteria for selection are:
- Be accepted into a B.S., M.S., or PD. degree program in a biomedical field related to Bioinformatics, Neuroscience, Molecular Medicine, Drug Design, Environmental & Behavioral Science;
- Have a record of academic excellence (3.0 GPA minimum) and a demonstrated interest in research
- Provide a three-page research plan to request funds for reagents or laboratory supplies needed to complete one or more specific aims of their project, with the price quotations included.
At the end of the award, the participants will provide written reports describing their achievements and future plans to develop their project.
